Six 6 Dans over 2 Weekends

Special Training Seminar

Aikido NSW has a number of highly respected senior instructors (all 6th dans) and yet, we have never conducted a seminar in Sydney where those instructors can provide insights into their study and give our students access to their many years of training and teaching.

Over the course of two days - Sunday 11 October 2015 and Saturday 17 October 2015 - we intend to rectify this at the Leichhardt Dojo on Balmain Road.

Roger Savage Shihan, Sensei George Lo, Andrew Dziedzic, Steve Armfield, Wayne Sheils and Tatsuhito Takahashi will each give an indepth class. Class details are set out below.

There will also be an opportunity for students to get together socially at teh end of each day of training.

Please note that there will be the usual Saturday morning class on 10 October 2015.

Proposed Training Schedule

Sunday morning 11 October

George Lo Sensei 8.30am to 10.30 am

Steve Armfield Sensei 10.45am to 12.30 pm.

Tatsuhito Takahashi Sensei – 1.30 – 3.00pm

After training there will be an opportunity for students to get together.

Saturday 17 October

Roger Savage Shihan 8.00am to 10.00am

Andrew Dziedzic Sensei 11.30 to 1.00pm

Wayne Sheils Sensei 1.30 to 3.00pm

After training there will be a further opportunity for students to get together.

Attendance at this seminar will count towards grading requirements as a TTC seminar. The next kyu grading is scheduled for November. Stay tuned for details.

Because we will need to hire the hall for these additional classes we propose to charge each student $5 to attend the whole course, regardless of whether you pay a monthly fee. While this will not cover the additional hire costs, it will go some way to meeting them.

Osensei Quotes

The techniques of Aikido change constantly; every encounter is unique, and the appropriate response should emerge naturally. Today's techniques will be different tomorrow. Do not get caught up with the form and appearance of a challenge. Aikido has no form - it is the study of the spirit.
