The Sugano Shihan Commemorative 2011 Winter School was a huge success.  Nobody could forget the very moving Kotodama session on the last day and Jikou’s wonderful shakuhachi performance.

There are many people to thank, including all teachers and overseas visitors.  A heart-felt thank you to all who helped but special praise to Felicity Peters who did such a wonderful job and still had time to train at every class.

To take place at Leichhardt Dojo starting at 8:30am with George Lo Sensei.

Summer School 2011

The Commemoration Summer School 2011 was extraordinary with many interesting and different teachers from across the world, and a number of moving tributes to Sugano Shihan.

Go to the Aikido Sydney Olympic Park Facebook page to see all the interesting photos.

Melbourne did its best to replicate the weather up north and thankfully, while very wet and hot, didn’t start to flood until after the school finished. Our thoughts go out to all who have been affected by the floods and particularly to our friends from aikido who were affected and had to leave the school early.
